Double nomination for Medirest in the National Annual Healthcare Security Awards 2024

The Medirest security teams at Peterborough City Hospital and North Middlesex Hospital are both up for the Healthcare Security Team of the Year Award in the National Annual Healthcare Security Awards 2024.

The winners will be announced at the Gala Dinner Awards Ceremony, which takes place on the evening of 27th November. The award ceremony celebrates all the heroes nominated for their outstanding contribution to healthcare security, where nominees will be recognised, and the winners announced and presented with their awards.

The team at North Middlesex Hospital, won the award at the 2023 event.

The National Association for Healthcare Security, who run the awards, is a nonprofit professional body, promoting development and innovation for healthcare security. The association acknowledges and celebrates excellence within healthcare security. It recognises innovation, exceptional service, and outstanding care.

Matt Johnson, Head of Healthcare Security - Compass Group UK & Ireland commented: “Our teams play a crucial role in the smooth running of healthcare settings, so it is great to see that we have two teams nominated within these awards. I look forward to the awards ceremony – best of luck to everyone involved.”

Mandy Richardson, Associate Director for Soft FM at North West Anglia NHS Foundation Trust said: “The work that Medirest carries out in our hospitals is invaluable, we wish the security team the best of luck in the Awards at the end of the month.”

Security services are a key part of the offer within Medirest’s facilities services. Their teams work within healthcare to provide and maintain a safe environment, so that NHS staff can look after patients and visitors without distraction.
