Medirest wins at National Annual Healthcare Security Awards 2024
North Middlesex Hospital nominated our security team for several awards at the National Annual Healthcare Security Awards. At the event we were acknowledged with:
- Healthcare Security Innovation - Winner - North Middlesex
- Violence Prevention and Reduction Initiative - Highly Commended - North Middlesex
- Healthcare Security Manager - Highly Commended - Alex Kuye, Head of Security at North Middlesex
The winners were announced at the Awards Ceremony, which took place on the evening of 27th November at Edgbaston Park Hotel. The awards celebrate all the heroes nominated for their outstanding contribution to healthcare security.
The team at North Middlesex also won the Security Team award in 2023.
Alex Kuye, Head of Security at North Middlesex said: “We’ve been acknowledged within these awards for two years running now and this really shows the quality of the work our team do. Our dedication is second to none, so this really means a lot!”

The National Association for Healthcare Security, who run the awards, is a nonprofit professional body, promoting professional development and innovation for healthcare security. The association also acknowledges and celebrates excellence within healthcare security. It recognises innovation, exceptional service, and outstanding care.
